In his first full month leading the FBI, Director Kash Patel saw an unprecedented surge in new agent applications, with submissions nearly doubling the monthly average since 2016.
A total of 5,577 applications were submitted in March, according to Fox News Digital.
The last time the bureau received a similar number of applications was in April 2016, with 5,283 submissions.
In a post on X, Director Patel commented, “This is what happens when you let good cops be cops. The work is just beginning.”
