The Federal Election Commission (FEC) has launched an investigation into Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) regarding campaign contributions made through ActBlue, a Democratic fundraising platform currently facing increased scrutiny over suspicious donation patterns.
The inquiry follows a March complaint filed by the conservative advocacy group, the Coolidge-Reagan Foundation, which accuses Crockett of questionable fundraising practices on ActBlue and alleges instances of voter intimidation, according to the Daily Signal.

On April 2, the Coolidge-Reagan Foundation received notice from the FEC that the agency would be investigating the complaint involving Rep. Jasmine Crockett. In a letter, Wanda D. Brown, FEC Assistant General Counsel for Complaints Examination and Legal Administration, informed the group that “the respondents will be notified of this complaint within five business days.”
“You will be informed as soon as the Federal Election Commission (FEC) takes final action on your client’s complaint,” the letter continued. “If you obtain any additional information regarding this matter, please forward it to the Office of the General Counsel.”
According to the outlet, the FEC’s letter was addressed to Dan Backer, an attorney representing the Coolidge-Reagan Foundation. Backer confirmed the development to The Daily Signal, stating, “The FEC opened an investigation. There is a process, but they are investigating.”
One donor was reported to have made 53 separate contributions to Rep. Crockett’s campaign, totaling $595, all through the ActBlue platform. The donations were linked to Randy Best, a 73-year-old Texas resident. However, Best’s wife claimed she was unaware of any such donations. Sholdon Daniels, who has announced plans to challenge Crockett in the 2026 midterm elections, shared a video highlighting the allegations made by Best’s wife.
The complaint suggests that the 53 repeated donations may not be an isolated incident and that other contributions could follow a similar pattern.
“Rep. Crockett, through her principal campaign committee, Jasmine for US, has received thousands of additional donations via ActBlue totaling over $870,000,” the complaint to the FEC stated. “It is unclear how many of these may also be fraudulent transactions, made in the names of unsuspecting, innocent individuals who did not actually contribute the funds.”
ActBlue has recently faced heightened scrutiny over allegations that some donations processed through the platform were made fraudulently using the identities of older Americans.
