Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake has gone to great lengths to prompt her Democrat opponent, Katie Hobbs, to participate in a debate in advance of the fast-approaching November election.

Hobbs, who did not debate any of the candidates in Arizona’s primary, has declined repeated requests for a debate from Lake. Last week, Lake attempted to shame and force Hobbs to engage in a dialogue during a Town Hall meeting, but to no avail. Hobbs declined, and Lake was escorted out of the building.

Over the weekend, at a campaign event, Lake said: “I don’t know if you are listening, Katie, but I will debate you on a stage, I will debate you in a parking, I will debate you in a library, I will debate you in a bar, I will debate you in a car, will debate you on CNN, I will debate you on MSNBC…”

In a plea many viewed as humorous, Lake, speaking to Katie through the crowd, said, “I will even debate you on ‘The View’ and let Joy Behar and Whoopi ask the questions, but show some courage.”

This is not the first time Lake has publicly charged that Hobbs is without courage—the repeated claims seem to be working in her favor.

According to a Trafalgar Group survey, Lake leads Hobbs by nearly five points.

Analysis by The Conservative Brief confirmed that “Lake appears to have the edge.”

Last week, a now-viral video showed Hobbs struggling to answer a straightforward question about specific lessons she has learned from the Latino community:”

In contrast, RTM previously profiled how Lake made a good showing of herself, blasting a CNN correspondent when questioned about immigration and election integrity issues.
